Ole Miss has officially announced its team captains for Saturday’s highly anticipated road game against South Carolina.

The Rebels will have defensive end JJ Pegues, offensive guard Nate Kalepo and tight end Caden Prieskorn representing them in those three prestigious spots. Pegues is a veteran of the team in his senior year for the Rebels currently totaling 15 tackles (7 solo), half of a sack and 1 fumble recovery.

Kalepo has been a big part of the protection up front, helping keep quarterback Jaxson Dart upright as Dart has put up video game numbers for the offense this season. Dart, to this point in the season, has completed 77.4% of his passes for 1,815 passing yards with 13 touchdowns and just a pair of interceptions.

Prieskorn has been among the quarterback’s pass-catchers, reeling in 10 receptions for 181 yards with 1 touchdown. His longest catch of the year was for 46 yards.

The Rebels are expected to come out with the victory by nearly two scores, but South Carolina has been a sneaky good team that has hung with strong competition from the very beginning of the season.

It will be interesting to see how things play out when the two teams kick things off at 3:30 p.m. ET in Williams-Brice Stadium.
