Ole Miss is back in the College Football Playoff rankings, weighing in at No. 22 in the third week of the poll.

Ole Miss was ranked No. 18 in the first College Football Playoff poll released Nov. 3, but fell out last week after the wacky 53-52 overtime loss to Arkansas.

The Rebels are coming off a bye heading into this week’s big showdown with LSU in Oxford. They close the regular season next week at Mississippi State.

The Rebels worked their way back into both national polls this week, coming in at No. 25 in both the AP and Coaches polls. The Rebels (7-3) have been ranked as high as No. 3 in the Associated Press poll after beating Alabama in mid-September.
