Ole Miss basketball is one of just 3 teams that is still undefeated heading into the new year, joining Houston and James Madison.
The Rebels continued their impressive streak on Sunday, downing Bryant 95-78 to collect win No. 13 on the year. Bryant, ranked the No. 187 team in the country (out of 362) on KenPom, downed Florida Atlantic earlier in the season and sits at 8-7 on the year.
Allen Flanigan and Matthew Murrell led the way for the Rebels, dropping 20 and 18 points respectively. Flanigan nearly cracked a double-double, finishing with 9 rebounds and 4 assists and 1 steal.

The Rebels are looking like a tough team to beat and head into SEC play with an impressive resume. On top of being undefeated, the Rebels have downed the likes of Memphis, NC State and UCF.
Memphis especially is a fantastic win for Chris Beard’s squad, as the Tigers sit at 11-2 on the season with their only other loss coming to Villanova in November. The Tigers have beaten the likes of Clemson, Texas A&M, Arkansas and Virginia.
Ole Miss will be tested immediately once SEC play kicks off, taking on Tennessee in Knoxville. If the Rebels can down the Vols, there’s little doubt they are a true contender in the SEC.
