After looking through history, Week 11 is going to feature one SEC team out for a unique sort of redemption and revenge. It’s not Florida for its two consecutive losses to South Carolina, and it’s not LSU for its shutout loss at Arkansas last year.

Shockingly, it’s the Tennessee Volunteers.

Forty years ago, Tennessee lost to little-known North Texas 21-14 in Knoxville.  The upstart program was coached by Hayden Fry, who would go on to great success at Iowa. How shocking was this? The Vols had been ranked as high as No. 10 in the country that year and had already beaten Auburn and LSU before losing to North Texas. Saturday, it’s revenge time, 40 years later. Time to tie up this series.

And speaking of tied records, Georgia and Auburn have each beaten the other 55 times. Who will get the advantage in their 119th meeting?

Read on to discover more interesting tidbits about how well these teams know each other in Week 11:
