Saturday’s contest between LSU and Ole Miss will have no shortage of narratives or storylines.
The Tigers are attempting to win the SEC West — something that’s highly unlikely if it’s unable to upend the talented Rebels’ squad. Star running back Leonard Fournette should be back in action after battling an ankle injury.
In addition, Ed Orgeron will be facing his former team.
Thank you Tiger Family for supporting us for 60 minutes last night. Big one this weekend, looking forward to Saturday Night in Death Valley!
— Coach Ed Orgeron (@Coach_EdOrgeron) October 16, 2016
Orgeron tweeted Sunday about the upcoming matchup between the SEC West foes. Orgeron’s recruiting prowess has been widely chronicled. He had no trouble luring top talent to Oxford during his head coaching stint from 2005-07.
However, Orgeron accumulated a 1o-25 record overall — including a ghastly 3-21 mark in conference play.
While his tenure with the Rebels didn’t go too well, he has a chance to have some success versus his former program in Baton Rouge.
