Outgoing Florida AD Jeremy Foley staying a little bit longer than anticipated

Jeremy Foley will remain Florida’s athletic director for an extra month. During a UAA board meeting, it was announced that Foley will now retire on Nov. 1, rather than the originally announced date of Oct. 1.

Foley has served as Florida’s athletic director since 1992 and has been an administrator for the program since 1981. He had previously served as an assistant AD from 1981-86 and an associate AD from 1986-92.
Florida officially Mississippi State’s Scott Stricklin as its new athletic director Tuesday. Stricklin will participate in an introductory press conference Tuesday afternoon.
