The Pac-12 announced plans to start negotiations for the conference’s next media rights agreements.

The conference made these plans public in a statement on Tuesday.

“The Pac-12 Board of Directors met this morning and authorized the Conference to immediately begin negotiations for its next media rights agreements,” the Pac-12 said.

The Pac-12 Board of Directors gave clearance to start negotiating future media rights. This news came less than one week after USC and UCLA announced plans to leave the Pac-12 for the Big Ten in 2024. With the Pac-12’s future in question, the Board of Directors focused on securing a new media rights deal.

We’ll see what sort of deal is potentially out there for a league that just lost 2 big brands and is in danger of losing more schools in the coming months.
