LSU fans won’t get to enjoy two of their favorite former players taking part in the NFL today.
Receiver Odell Beckham was ruled inactive by the Cleveland Browns at about the same time that the Kansas City Chiefs ruled defensive back Tyrann Mathieu inactive. The Chiefs host the Browns in the late afternoon NFL television spot at 4:25 p.m. EST.

This is certainly a setback for both players who have garnered elite status in the NFL after superb careers at LSU. ESPN reported that Mathieu was held out for reasons pertaining to COVID-19. There wasn’t an immediate reason given for Beckham’s absence.
