LSU and Georgia are both deserving of the finalist nod. Georgia allowed just 12 sacks this season, which leads the SEC and is 3rd in the country according to a press release from the award. The bulldogs offense generates just shy of 500 yards per game this past season thanks in part to its O-line.
And there was no offense in the country as potent as LSU’s this season. The consistent LSU O-line kept the same starting lineup in 11 of the 12 games played this season. The Tigers also led the nation in yards per rush, 6.33.
