Passing stats from LSU’s second fall scrimmage paint a bleak picture at QB position

Yes, LSU has one of the best defenses in the country, especially with DC Dave Aranda leading the unit.
However, you’d still like to see the Tigers quarterbacks perform better than they did during Saturday’s scrimmage, the team’s second scrimmage of fall camp.
As you can see in the tweet below, coach Ed Orgeron gave passing stats from the scrimmage, and it doesn’t appear that either Ohio State transfer Joe Burrow or sophomore Myles Brennan had a particularly good day:
Passing stats from Ed Orgeron #LSU
Myles Brennan – 5-19, 47 yards, 1 INT
Joe Burrow – 10-24, 120 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT— Andrew Lopez (@_Andrew_Lopez) August 18, 2018
In total, that’s a combined 15-for-43 passing, good for an abysmal 34.8-percent completion rate. After losing two quarterbacks — Justin McMillan and Lowell Narcisse — to transfer this week, that’s not what Coach O or LSU fans were hoping for.
Coach O went on to say that a lot of the blame falls on the receivers, but it still wasn’t a sparkling performance for the offense:
Ed Orgeron: Tuesday and Wednesday were Burrow and Brennan's best days and they completed a lot of deep passes.
O reiterates that Saturday was a bunch of dropped passes. #LSU

It’s still early in fall camp, but the clock is ticking. If neither quarterback separates himself from the other, it could be a long year for the Tigers.
