Pat McAfee has been having a lot of fun since joining the College GameDay desk for ESPN. All season long, he makes his pick for the marquee game of the day a theatrical affair, and Saturday morning was no different.

This weekend, it includes the inaugural 12-team College Football Playoff continuing with 3 games all day long. It leads up to the matchup between Tennessee and Ohio State in Columbus, the site where GameDay was broadcasting from Saturday morning.

When it came to the Buckeyes vs. Volunteers, McAfee began his pick by highlighting the strong contingent of Tennessee fans who made the trek north. It even led to a rendition of “Rocky Top” led by McAfee himself.

“Whenever we found out there was going to be a College Football Playoff game in Columbus, we were all jacked up to see this Ohio State faithful be showcased to the entire world about how much they love football,” said McAfee. “Then we walked out here to this GameDay set this morning and it was Rocky Top.”

However, it was all a ruse to throw the fans on hand off-balance. McAfee concluded by saying home for him is the north where he expects the Buckeyes to win at home.

“Well, in that song they say home. Home for me is the north, and the cold is going to be. Give me Ohio State,” McAfee said for his prediction.

McAfee’s pick was part of a clean sweep on the desk with every analyst picking Ohio State and Ryan Day to beat Josh Heupel and the Vols Saturday night. Ohio State is holding firm as a 7-point favorite at bet365, and fans can use our best Tennessee betting apps to get in on the action.
