Pat McAfee’s pockets will be a lot lighter after College GameDay in Week 6.

The GameDay analyst does a weekly challenge where a random fan in attendance has the chance to win money if they hit a field goal. Usually, nobody is able to do it. On Saturday, it looked at first like this was going to be another week where no one claimed the money.

Daniel, a Cal student and former soccer player, was tasked with hitting a 33-yard FG. Unfortunately, Daniel missed the kick wide right.

However, McAfee was feeling generous and decided to raise the stakes.

After the miss, McAfee told Daniel he’d get another chance, this time for $100,000. In addition, McAfee offered to add another $100,000 to GameDay’s $500,000 donation to victims of Hurricane Helene.

Thankfully, Daniel rose to the occasion and was not to be denied again.

The kid sent the kick right down the middle with plenty of leg to claim the prize.

This was awesome to see, both for the kid and for the victims of Hurricane Helene who will undoubtedly be helped by this donation. This is the 2nd time in 2024 a fan has made the FG on GameDay.

GameDay is in Berkeley for the much-anticipated matchup between the Cal Golden Bears and No. 8 Miami Hurricanes. The new ACC rivals will kick off from California Memorial Stadium at 10:30 p.m. ET.
