Paul Finebaum has had a change of heart regarding Jim Harbaugh as more information has emerged with the investigation into Michigan allegedly conducting in-person scouting and sign-stealing tactics.
The latest details includes a photo appearing to show a man resembling Connor Stalions on the Central Michigan sideline for the team’s game against Michigan State. The Michigan staffer has emerged as a person of interest in the case.
The ESPN analyst has reversed course and is now blasting Harbaugh for his handling of the situation.

“Two weeks ago I sat here with you and made the biggest mistake of my professional career. I gave Jim Harbaugh the benefit of the doubt. Never again. I thought it was too early to come down on him. It’s not too early anymore,” Finebaum said. “It’s actually getting very late for him. This is a disgusting story with every revelation which happens every single day of the week.”
Finebaum also rips the Big Ten and believes if Harbaugh tries to bolt for a return to the NFL, franchises could now be weary.
“The fact that the Big Ten has not done anything yet is inexcusable. That’s the only mechanism to stop this train. Quite frankly, a lot of people think it should be stopped. It’s up to Tony Petitti, the new Big Ten commissioner to step in. They’re the only people with jurisdiction,” Finebaum said. “The NCAA can be looking at this for the rest of our lives. As far as whether Jim Harbaugh goes to the NFL, that’s really up to NFL franchises whether or not they want to get in business with this guy right now.”
