The Philadelphia Eagles signed the former Georgia quarterback to its practice squad less than 24 hours after he was released by the Arizona Cardinals. Murray had signed with Arizona following a two-year stint with the Kansas City Chiefs, who cut him after a rough preseason.
The former fifth-round pick who hasn’t thrown a pass in the regular season was a four-year starter at Georgia, where he wrapped up his college career as the owner of several SEC passing records.
Marcus covers SEC football for Saturday Down South.
