During the first quarter, an Alabama player accidentally ran into Saban while leaving the field. The collision left a cut on the Crimson Tide head coach’s cheek.
CBS sideline reporter Allie LaForce reported that Saban did not require medical attention for the cut. He ignored the cut and continued coaching.
No. 2 Alabama (8-1) was playing No. 17 Mississippi State (7-2) in Starkville, Miss.
