While many have assumed LSU’s next coach will be hired after the season, one store is apparently selling merchandise supporting interim coach Ed Orgeron.

Orgeron’s potential popularity shouldn’t come as a surprise considering he is a Louisiana native, which is likely to give fans some home state bias.
Or perhaps some are impressed by his successful interim at USC, leading the Trojans to a 6-2 (6-1 Pac-12) record following Lane Kiffin’s termination in 2013.
Both of those factors may outweigh his only full-time coaching stint at Ole Miss, which ended with a 10-25 (3-21) record. We’ll have to see if Coach O can win over the entire fan base and earn his way into a full-time coaching gig.
