Racial tensions within the United States are incredibly high.
With social media capturing incidents (and the requisite spreading of these videos), the country is facing a real issue in addressing ever-present racial inequality.
In response to this, many athletes have attempted to use their platform as means to spread their own message.
Former LSU and current Arizona Cardinals defensive back Tyrann Mathieu is the latest to do so:

On Sunday against the Washington Redskins, Mathieu will wear these garish gold cleats with the message “Sideline Racism” prominently shown on the front of the shoe.
