The “Lakeland Trio” is heading to Gainesville.

Three Lakeland teammates – Deyavie Hammond, Lloyd Summerall and Keon Zipperer – joined together to announce they are heading to Florida.  All three are top-40 recruits in the Sunshine State. Summerall and Zipperer  were considered to be Florida-Miami battles as the decision neared.

ESPN2 asked Hammond why he chose Florida over Florida State.

“It was the passion and love coaches showed for me,” Hammond said.
