Potential flip? Florida trending with Ohio State QB commit Emory Jones

Dan Mullen has experienced a bit of turnover in Florida’s recruiting class since taking the head coaching job, but one big time player is now trending towards the Gators just days ahead of the early signing period.
Emory Jones is an impressive 4-star dual-threat QB out of Franklin, Georgia. He is listed by 247 Sports as the No. 4 dual-threat QB in the nation for 2018 and possesses an intriguing skill set.
Jones is still currently committed to Ohio State, but that commitment could change. Florida has been pursuing Jones since QB Matt Corral flipped his commitment to Ole Miss, and a visit over the weekend has had a major impact on Jones’ predictions.
Jones has received 13 Crystal Ball picks for Florida since his visit on Saturday. The trend towards the Gators has now given him identical 43% odds for both Florida and Ohio State.
The young QB could certainly still honor his commitment and sign with the Buckeyes, but the growing trend may be a good sign for Mullen and the Gators. Jones is a legitimate talent and would likely be a great fit in Mullen’s offense. His decision is expected on Wednesday.
