Florida State has offered Deion Sanders’ son a scholarship to play football for the Seminoles.

Shedeur Sanders, a 6-foot, 165-pound athlete in the class of 2021, announced on Twitter Thursday that head coach Willie Taggart and the ‘Noles had offered him.

Sanders currently plays for Trinity Christian School in Cedar Hill, Texas.

“I am blessed to receive an offer from my dad’s alma mater,” Shedeur said. “This is truly a blessing because this is where the legacy began.

“I am built for this moment. It is in my bloodline.”

Good stuff.

The elder Sanders was a multi-sport star at Florida State from 1985 to 1988. He was a two-time All-American in football and won the Jim Thorpe Award as the nation’s best defensive back in ’88.

Deion Sanders then went on to have an incredible NFL career that included a pair of Super Bowl rings and eight Pro Bowls.

His son also already holds offers from Oregon and Syracuse, according to his 247Sports profile.

Here’s what Shedeur posted on Twitter:
