Pro Football Focus released its ranking of the top 10 defensive lines in college football on Friday.

Perennial favorite Alabama grabbed the No. 1 spot on the list, returning several starters from the 2021 season. Will Anderson Jr., the No. 1 edge defender in the country, and the No. 2 2023 NFL Draft prospect, will be leading the Crimson Tide’s defensive line. Beside Anderson, Alabama will line up top-20 edge defender Dallas Turner, and the top 15 ranked IDL Byron Young.

Putting pressure on Alabama in the SEC will be No. 3 ranked defending champions Georgia. The Bulldogs’ DL produced 3 first-round picks in the 2022 NFL Draft, and returns fierce duo Jalen Carter and Nolan Smith. Carter ranks as the No. 1 IDL, while Smith ranks first among returning Power 5 edge defenders, second only to Alabama’s Will Anderson, Jr.

LSU and Florida each return several big names on their respective DLs, including LSU’s B.J. Ojulari and Ali Gaye, both top 20 edge defenders. The Gators will use Gervon Dexter and Brenton Cox Jr., both of whom made the top 15 in their respective positional rankings, to shore up their DL.
