Week 7 of the 2019 college football season came with a high billing and lived up to it. The top-25 clashes (LSU-Florida, Oklahoma-Texas, Penn State-Iowa) were all free of blowouts. Those games were guaranteed to shake up the next Associated Press Top 25, but we weren’t expecting co-No. 3 Georgia to fall at home to South Carolina.
The Bulldogs were sharing the No. 3 spot with Ohio State. The Buckeyes were off in Week 7 and we’re projecting they’ll be jumped by LSU with the Tigers’ win over No. 7 Florida.
The Gators and Dawgs drop to the one-loss territory in the rankings. We’re projecting voters will look at resumes when deciding to sort the one-loss teams (UF, UGA, Auburn, Notre Dame).
As far as other SEC teams in the Top 25, say goodbye to Texas A&M and hello to Missouri, the new first-place team in the SEC East.
