Projecting some unconventional stat leaders for every SEC team

Just like most of you, we don’t like boring things here at SDS.
So when we decided to tackle the task of projecting stat leaders for the 2015 season, we tried to shy away from giving you obvious answers.
You know that the starting quarterback likely will lead your favorite team in passing yards. You don’t need us to tell you that.
Instead, we attempted to get a little out of the comfort zone and give you some predictions from stats that are a little harder to project from season to season.
The stat categories to be discussed were left up to the authors of each piece, so they are unique to each school.
Let’s take a look at each school’s predictions, including the boldest predictions as listed below:
Alabama
Bold prediction: RB Kenyan Drake will lead the Crimson Tide in total yards from scrimmage.
Arkansas
Bold prediction: Kody Walker will have the best touch-to-touchdown ratio on the team, vulturing touchdowns from Alex Collins and Jonathan Williams in the process.
Auburn
Bold prediction: It will be Ricardo Louis, not Duke Williams, that leads Auburn in yards per catch this season.
Florida
Bold prediction: Alex McCalister will replace Dante Fowler Jr. as the Gators tackles-for-loss leader.
Georgia
Bold prediction: S Quincy Mauger will lead the team in interceptions.
Kentucky
Bold prediction: Senior DB Fred Tiller will turn some pass break-ups into interceptions this year, leading the team.
LSU
Bold prediction: Kendell Beckwith will force more turnovers from linebacker position than anyone else on the Tigers defense.
Mississippi State
Bold prediction: Ryan Brown will turn some of his quarterback hurries into sacks in 2015, leading the team.
Missouri
Bold prediction: Tigers DE Charles Harris will be the next premier pass rusher at Missouri.
Ole Miss
Bold prediction: It may be WR Cody Core, not Laquon Treadwell, that leads the Rebels in touchdown receptions this year.
South Carolina
Bold prediction: TE Jacob August will top 300 receiving yards.
Tennessee
Bold prediction: Senior WR Pig Howard will lead the team and top more than 1,000 receivers.
Texas A&M
Bold prediction: LB Shaan Washington will lead the team in tackles.
Vanderbilt
Bold prediction: WR Trent Sherfield (one catch in 2014) will lead Commodores WR in receiving yards.
