Iowa was riding high entering its home game with Purdue on Saturday.
The Hawkeyes were fresh off a huge home win over Penn State, sitting at No. 2 in the polls and eyeing a berth in the College Football Playoff.
Apparently, however, the Boilermakers weren’t impressed, and despite arriving at Kinnick Stadium as a 12-point underdog rolled to a 24-7 victory that will create even more chaos when it comes to the playoff picture in college football.
After the game, the Purdue official Twitter handle pulled no punches with one of Saturday’s most savage tweets, stating, “We just beat the No. 2 out of Iowa.”

Ouch!
The Boilermakers improved to 4-2 overall and 2-1 in bog Ten play with the victory, while Iowa lost for the first time in 7 outings and might have had its national championship hopes dashed.
