LSU defensive tackle Quentin Thomas is out for the season with a torn biceps, according to The Advocate.

The redshirt junior was a projected starter along LSU’s interior defensive line for the first time in his career, and that impact will have to wait another season. The biceps injury was suffered Wednesday at practice, and he’ll undergo six months of rehab.

Thomas made nine tackles in 11 appearances last season. Frank Herron, Maquedius Bain and Greg Gilmore are expected to fight for Thomas’ starting spot.
