Four-star defensive lineman Raekwon Davis signed his papers to attend Alabama back on National Signing Day in February.

He also committed to play for Jones County Junior College in case he was unable to meet NCAA eligibility requirements.

According to a report from SEC Country, Davis will be eligible to play for the Crimson Tide this fall after all.

On Monday, Jones coach Steve Buckley reportedly confirmed Davis’ eligibility to compete for Alabama.

Davis indicated to SEC Country that a low ACT score is what was keeping him from meeting the eligibility requirements.

It appears as though that has been resolved with a better score.

Davis was rated as the No. 83 overall player in the 2015 recruiting class in the 247Sports composite rankings.

At 6-7 and 330 pounds, he’s an imposing figure that could have a quick impact on the line for the Crimson Tide.
