Raion Strader, a star cornerback at Miami (OH) announced on Monday that he will transfer to Auburn for next season.

And though he’s played at a lower level of the game, Strader is a star in the making. He totaled 40 tackles with 2 interceptions and an incredible 19 pass deflections this past season, and his numbers were similar in Year 1 with the RedHawks as well – 13 pass deflections and 1 interception.

As mentioned, SEC wide receivers are a different breed compared to the pass catchers that Strader was working with, but his talent is obvious. Not to mention, he arrives at Auburn with 2 seasons of eligibility remaining.

He committed after an official visit to The Plains on Saturday and Sunday. Strader had already visited Ole Miss and had plans to visit Virginia, Iowa and Arkansas before his commitment on Monday.

The Tigers have done a great job adding to their unit in the transfer portal so far this offseason, and a significant portion of that work came on Monday. The Tigers also signed Georgia Tech safety Taye Seymore days after signing former Oklahoma QB Jackson Arnold.

Are the Tigers trending upwards heading into the 2025 season? There’s a long way to go, but December has been a good start.
