Sights and sounds: UK’s Randall Cobb graduates as Aaron Rodgers looks on

Former Wildcats superstar Randall Cobb accomplished many things on the field during his time at Kentucky.
And after some diligent work in the midst of an NFL career, he has now completed a significant academic accomplishment at the same institution.
The Green Bay Packers wide receiver walked the stage at Kentucky’s graduation ceremony on Sunday to receive his college degree.

Back in March, Cobb spoke about why it was so important for him to return to Lexington to complete his college degree in spite of his multi-million dollar success as a football player.
Cobb said he is the first in his family to earn a college degree.

All-Pro QB Aaron Rodgers, who has served as Cobb’s team’s leader for the duration of his pro career, made the trip to Kentucky in support of Cobb.
While that may not seem to have a direct impact on the outcome of their football games, it does speak to the relationship the two have built and the type of leader that Rodgers is for that team.

We send our heartfelt congratulations to Cobb, who dazzled the SEC as a passer, runner, receiver and return man during the 2008-10 seasons.
