Just like former Starkville star AJ Brown signed with Ole Miss, it looks like Gay will follow in his footsteps. Of note, Gay and Brown are close friends.
Landing Gay gave the Rebels’ 2017 recruiting class a big boost, vaulting them ahead of another SEC West squad: the Auburn Tigers.
Other SEC teams in Gay’s final five included Mississippi State, LSU and South Carolina. He’s rated as the country’s No. 11 outside linebacker and the No. 3 player in the state of Mississippi for the class of 2017.
