Rece Davis, Pete Thamel, and Bill Connelly came together on the College GameDay Podcast to discuss their predictions for the big Alabama-Auburn Iron Bowl clash on Saturday.

The upset-minded Tigers are looking for a win in their last opportunity to become bowl eligible this season. The 5-6 Tigers have had a tumultuous season, including playing with an interim head coach after Bryan Harsin was fired in October after 2 seasons on the Plains.

Annual CFP contender Alabama appears to be shut out of the playoff picture for the first time in several years. However, the Tide could finish the season with a quite respectable 10-2 record if they can get the win over the Tigers on Saturday.

Here’s how each analyst sees the Iron bowl playing out between the Tigers and Crimson Tide:

Davis: “Everything in you tells you Alabama should cover this, except for the fact Alabama hasn’t covered squat all year. I’m going to take Auburn and the points, because I think Alabama wins the game.”

Thamel: “I think Bryce Young puts the foot down. Pound for pound and town for town, they’re exponentially better [than Auburn]. I think Alabama wins, they win big.”

Connelly: “I will be very surprised if Auburn gets 10 points. Give me Bama.”

The Iron Bowl will kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
