RedZone outage: NFL fans freaking out on social media after widespread disruption
By Keith Farner
Published:
RedZone went out shortly after the 1 p.m. ET NFL games kicked off on Sunday, and it disrupted the viewing habits of millions of football fans who rely on the channel to see live up-to-the-minute updates around the league.
The channel was back up within 10 minutes of being frozen, but that didn’t avoid plenty of fans from having a full-fledged freak out.
RedZone has been a popular way for fans to watch games around the league almost at once as fans of hometown teams have moved around the country, and don’t want to only watch the regional telecast.
Here’s a sampling of the initial reaction:

Redzone went down for 4 minutes and all of our grown asses was in fear.
We won’t do well as a society if the power grid fails.
