A 2019 LSU commit got some bad medical news this week, and now his playing status is in question.
According to the Anniston Star, 3-star LB Kendall McCallum will have heart surgery next Monday.
According to the report, McCallum asked for prayers while posting the news to his personal Snapchat:
Linebacker Kendall McCallum, an LSU commit and key figure in Oxford High’s defense, is undergoing medical tests and said he will have “heart surgery next Monday” in a Monday evening Snapchat post.
“All prayers needed,” he said in the post.
Per the 247Sports composite, McCallum is the No. 32 inside linebacker and the No. 27 overall recruit from the state of Alabama.
Hopefully all goes well, and it’s safe to say McCallum will be in the thoughts of the LSU family this week.
