Report: Alabama expected to hire assistant coach off Mississippi State’s staff

The Alabama Crimson Tide have had quite a bit of staff turnover this offseason, and as they fill the positions, they’re raiding some other SEC staffs.
After landing an assistant from Tennessee’s staff recently, the Crimson Tide are reportedly hiring an assistant away from Mississippi State.
Per Matt Zenitz of AL.com, the Tide are expected to hire MSU RB coach Charles Huff and would make him their RB coach and potentially the co-offensive coordinator:
Alabama is expected to hire Mississippi State running backs coach Charles Huff, per sources.
Would be running backs and possibly co-OC for Alabama. Was Mississippi State's running backs coach, assistant head coach and run game coordinator last season.https://t.co/psL0ULWvHT

Huff is a well-respected assistant, so this would be a big-time hire for Nick Saban. Huff reportedly could have interviewed for the Akron head coaching job this offseason:
Huff turned down an opportunity interview to be the next head coach at Akron a month ago.
Laterally moving to stay a running backs coach isn’t exactly moving up to be a head coach, but Alabama isn’t exactly Akron either. https://t.co/NkxjGrWgqZ

Now, Mississippi State has a big hole to fill, and it’ll be interesting to see who Joe Moorhead hires to fill the position.
