One of Arkansas’ best players will be returning in 2019.
Linebacker De’Jon “Scoota” Harris has decided to play his senior season, according to a report from WholeHogSports.com. Harris had requested a grade from the NFL draft advisory board following his standout junior year, but on Tuesday night he hinted in a tweet that he would be back in Fayetteville next year.
But for all the long faces tonight. I got another year in me ‘ so let’s rock out!???

WholeHogSports.com was able to confirm his plans to return via a team spokesperson, which certainly brought a wave of relief over Arkansas fans.
Getting Harris back will be a huge boost for a Razorbacks squad trying to move on from its two-win campaign in coach Chad Morris’ first year. Harris led the SEC in tackles with 118 and was second on the team with nine tackles for loss.
The 6-foot, 244-pound linebacker was a member of the Associated Press All-SEC second team released earlier this week, and he’ll have a chance to build on that in 2019.
