Report: Auburn to add LED light system to Jordan-Hare Stadium
By Adam Spencer
Published:
This year, we’ve seen LED light shows from schools like Alabama and Georgia, with the programs’ fans arguing back and forth about whose idea it was first.
Well, now, Auburn is reportedly getting in the mix with a light system that will be capable of similar shows (although not in red).
Per Auburn reporter Brandon Marcello, the lights should be in place before the start of next season:
My understanding is Auburn will install LED lights at Jordan-Hare Stadium before next season (subject to approval from board of trustee). New lights are capable of the "light show" we've seen over last couple years at other stadium. Auburn soccer already has 'em.

If you look at Marcello’s mentions, fans don’t seem to be in favor of this move. However, LED lights are the way of the future for stadiums and for lighting systems, in general.
Also, putting in LED lights doesn’t mean you have to use them like Georgia and Alabama do. Whether or not the Tigers have a light show for every Auburn touchdown is something the school will have to decide.
