It was reported Tuesday morning that Chauncey Manac will transfer from Georgia.

Seth Emerson with Dawg Nation was first to report the news:

His aunt, Beth Leviton, confirmed the decision on Tuesday, as she was on her way up from south Georgia to pick up Manac. The plan is for Manac to transfer to Garden City Community College in Kansas.

Manac was a four-star OLB recruit out of Clinch County before redshirting last season. He was transitioning to the DL this season before making the decision to transfer.

It is not initially clear why Manac is leaving the program, but Leviton says he needed a change.

“I guess he needs a change,” explained Leviton “But he’s excited. Everything with Georgia is good. We love the people there. We love everybody. They’ve just been awesome. But when you’re not happy you have to do something. Life’s too short.”
