The Stanford Cardinal are losing a veteran quarterback.
Starter K.J. Costello went down with a season-ending injury after 5 games in 2019, leaving the job to USC transfer Davis Mills.
Now, it appears Mills will be the guy moving into 2020, as AL.com’s Matt Zenitz reported that Costello entered his name in the NCAA transfer portal on Wednesday:
Source: Stanford quarterback K.J. Costello has entered his name into the transfer portal.
Listed as a graduate transfer.
Was a second-team all-conference selection last year.

Costello was a second-team All-Pac-12 player in 2018, throwing for 3,540 yards and 29 touchdowns.
We’ll see if he decides to leave Stanford to play his final year of college eligibility. And, we’ll see which schools decide to get in the mix for the talented quarterback. Will an SEC team give him a call?
