According to a report from the Ledger-Enquirer, former Auburn tight end Landon Rice has been accused of first-degree rape dating back to a report filed on July 27.
Rice mysteriously left the football program after the Arkansas St. game on Sept. 10. Head coach Gus Malzahn attributed it to a departure for ‘personal reasons.’
The incident allegedly happened on Apr. 12 in a dormitory located across the street from the athletic complex. This dorm reportedly houses the majority of the football team.
Rice was an early enrollee this past January. A former 4-star prospect and Under Armour All-American, he was expected to play a big role as a true freshman this year.
