Former LSU and current Arizona Cardinals defensive back Tyrann Mathieu has battled numerous injuries in 2016.
A balky knee — followed by an ailing shoulder has limited Mathieu’s time on the field for the Cardinals. Sitting at 4-5-1, Bruce Arians’s team undoubtedly has missed the playmaking-ability and toughness brought to the table by the former LSU Tiger.
According to NBC Sports, Mathieu is slated to play this upcoming weekend versus the Atlanta Falcons. Mathieu had missed the last two games with a shoulder injury.
It won’t be easy for the Cardinals to make a return trip the playoffs this season. However, having a healthy Mathieu on the field certainly will help matters.
