Georgia fans planning a trip to the West Coast might want to hold off for a decade or so.
On Wednesday, news broke that the Bulldogs have scheduled a home-and-home series with UCLA for 2025-26. Marc Weiszer of the Athens (Ga.) Banner-Herald was the first to report the news.

Both games will be played as season openers, with Georgia traveling to Pasadena, Calif. to play the Bruins in the historic Rose Bowl in 2025 and then UCLA making the trip to Athens in 2026.
Barring Georgia making the College Football Playoff in a year the Rose Bowl is hosting a playoff matchup, the 2025 game will mark Georgia’s first trip to the stadium since the 1943 Rose Bowl game, a 9-0 win over UCLA. The only other time these two schools have met on the gridiron was in 1983, a Georgia win in Athens.
Georgia becomes the latest school to join the party and schedule a game well into next decade. With the Bulldogs joining the mix, 12 of the SEC’s 14 members now have out-of-conference games on their slate (other than traditional non-conference rivals) past 2020.
