Alabama received some good news concerning one of its starting LBs.
The Alabama defense limited Florida State to just 40 yards rushing in the Tide’s 24-7 win Saturday night, but there were a number of injuries sustained throughout the game.
Four Alabama LBs left the game due to injury, and two of those LBs, Christian Miller and Terrell Lewis, are likely done for the season. Thankfully, it looks like Rashaan Evans’ groin injury is not a serious one, according to AL.com’s Matt Zenitz.
The report states that Evans could miss some time, but it is just a strain.
Alabama boasts a deep and talented defense, but losing a LB of Evans’ caliber would definitely be a big blow having already lost Miller and Lewis. The Tide should be able to rest Evans for a few weeks before beginning their SEC schedule on Sept. 23 against Vanderbilt.
LB Anfernee Jennings also injured his ankle in the win over FSU, but his status his unknown at this time.
