On Wednesday, TMZ reported that Isaiah Wright, a running back featured on the popular Netflix documentary series “Last Chance U,” has been released from prison after reaching a plea deal in his murder case.

Wright was arrested last September on one count of criminal homicide related to the stabbing of an 18-year-old man outside of Alcoa, Tenn.

Wright, 20, reportedly appeared in court in Tennessee on Wednesday and agreed to a plea agreement with prosecutors. He pled guilty to aggravated robbery and the murder charge was dropped.

TMZ reported that Wright has already been released from prison and he has received five years of probation and was credited with time served in jail.

Wright previously played at East Mississippi Community College, where the first two seasons of “Last Chance U” were filmed.
