Late on Wednesday night, Kentucky landed the commitment of 2017 prospect Naasir Watkins.
Hailing from Maryland, the 3-star prospect reportedly chose the Wildcats over offers from Pitt and Virginia, among others.

Watkins had visited Lexington officially this past weekend. At 6-foot-6, 300 pounds, he’s got excellent size for the position. Watkins has long arms, good lateral quickness, and has the athleticism to play at either of the tackle spots.
While he’s not a highly-rated prospect, the Wildcats did well to dip into the Atlantic region and land a talented prospect with good upside.
