Report: Louisville has fired AD Tom Jurich in wake of recent scandal
By Paul Harvey
Published:
It was reported Wednesday morning that Louisville Athletic Director Tom Jurich has been fired as a result of an FBI investigation.
Louisville has faced multiple scandals in recent years, but the most recent investigation by the FBI looks to be the deciding factor. Louisville has been connected to a bribery and corruption scheme that the school cannot avoid.
This is embarrassing for Louisville and embarrassing for the athletic department.
Jody Demling reported the news on Twitter Wednesday, and multiple other outlets have confirmed.
Can confirm Louisville AD Tom Jurich has been relieved of his duties at the school.

Update: According to Phillip Bailey, Jurich hasn’t been fired yet, with multiple others reporting he has. It’s important to also note that Louisville hasn’t officially announced anything on Jurich, but it did announce that Pitino was fired.
#UofL spokesman: "Reports that Tom Jurich has been fired are inaccurate. He's still @GoCards athletic director. We will have details later."
