As if LSU needed another loss along the defensive line.

Junior defensive tackle Frank Herron, along with freshman receiver Dee Anderson, didn’t travel with the team for its season opener at Wisconsin, according to a report by The Advocate. Both players are reportedly suspended and will miss the clash between the No. 5 Tigers and Badgers at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Lambeau Field.

LSU had already lost senior tackle Christian LaCouture and sophomore defensive end Isaiah Washington for the season due to injuries sustained during fall camp.  Herron is listed as the immediate backup to starting defensive tackle Davon Godchaux and figured to see some playing time in new defensive coordinator Dave Aranda’s scheme.

Anderson, a 6-foot-5 receiver, was reportedly not expected to see much playing time against Wisconsin.
