LSU fans might want to start thinking about booking travel to Norman, Okla. for now. FBSchedules.com reported that LSU and Oklahoma have rescheduled their postponed home-and-home series. The report said that the games would be scheduled for 2027 and 2028. A spokesman for LSU declined to comment on the potential games, saying that no deal had been finalized.
The Tigers and Sooners originally agreed to the series in 2005, setting up a rematch of the 2004 Sugar Bowl for the BCS Championship, won by LSU. The two schools originally agreed to meet in 2018 and 2019, but Oklahoma bumped LSU in November 2013, scheduling games with UCLA to be played those years. At that time, the schools agreed to find suitable dates for the series to be played sometime after 2019.
Stay tuned for updates on the series between two college football powerhouses.
