Report: Nebraska starting QB Armstrong not practicing with team ahead of bowl game versus Tennessee
The Tennessee Volunteers are slated to play the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the Music City Bowl.
Nebraska starting quarterback Tommy Armstrong is a dynamic player. Much like UT QB Josh Dobbs, he can hurt the opposition with both his arm and legs. He would be considered a challenge for the Vols’ defense to stop.
However, it doesn’t look like he’ll be squaring off versus Tennessee on Dec. 30 in Nashville.
According to a report from Omaha Sports Insider, Armstrong has not been practicing with the team during bowl preparations. He’s been plagued by a hamstring injury dating back to the middle of November.
As such, Nebraska is preparing for this game under the assumption that Ryker Fyfe will start. Fyfe is a redshirt senior, and has only two career starts.
