Former Oregon co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach Matt Lubick is reportedly joining the Ole Miss staff as the Rebels’ new receivers coach.

Rivals.com’s Neal McCready tweeted that Lubick had been joined Hugh Freeze’s staff Thursday afternoon.

Lubick, who turns 45 next month, has a coaching history predominantly out west, but was the Ole Miss wide receivers coach for the 2005 and ’06 seasons and held the same position at Duke 2010-12. He spent the past four seasons at Oregon, coaching wide receivers and serving as the offensive coordinator in 2016 under head coach Mark Helfrich, who was fired in November.

Lubick replaces Grant Heard, who reportedly left last week to take the same position at Indiana.
