When the Big Ten announced it was postponing its fall football season until spring at the earliest, many expected the Pac-12 to quickly follow suit.

The Pac-12 powers that be met on Tuesday, and it does appear that’s the course of action the league has decided to take.

Per Yahoo’s Pete Thamel, the Pac-12 has indeed decided to cancel its football season and will attempt to play in the spring:

The Big Ten and Pac-12 medical experts have reportedly advised the leagues that it isn’t safe to play. Meanwhile, the SEC, Big 12 and ACC have reportedly been given the go-ahead to at least continue with preseason preparations.

That doesn’t mean the season will be played in those 3 Power 5 conferences, but they’ll take more time making a decision, it seems. We’ll see what sort of fallout there is from the Pac-12 and Big Ten’s decisions moving forward.
