While most teams have been busy adding players to their rosters during the Early Signing Period, Kentucky lost one.

Redshirt freshman cornerback Michael Nesbitt has been removed from the team due to eligibility issues, according to a report from Catspause.com, Kentucky’s 247Sports website. The 6-foot, 185-pound Nesbitt appeared in 10 games for the Wildcats, mostly as a special teams player.

The former 3-star prospect out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, was expected to be in the mix for playing time next season.

Kentucky already has two cornerbacks and two safeties signed to its 2019 recruiting class, but coach Mark Stoops may look for more help in the secondary now that Nesbitt isn’t around. The Early Signing Period wraps up Friday, and teams can continue recruiting prospects until the official National Signing Day in early February.
